School Website Principal’s Message – April 2026
As we begin the month of April, we enter into the most sacred time of the Christian year. The Easter Triduum—Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday—invites us to reflect deeply on the passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus. From the solemnity of the cross to the joy of the empty tomb, this holy time reminds us that hope, love, and new life are always possible through Christ. As we move into the Easter season, we celebrate the beauty of renewal all around us. Just as the earth awakens in spring with signs of new life, we are reminded of God’s promise of resurrection and the gift of fresh beginnings.
April is also a time of continued growth in learning across our school community. In our classrooms, students will be strengthening their skills in mathematics, language, and across all areas of the curriculum. Through meaningful learning experiences, they are building confidence, perseverance, and a strong foundation for continued success. Our students will also be preparing for ongoing learning and assessments, including EQAO, and we are proud of the effort, determination, and resilience they demonstrate each day.
We are very excited to share that our school will be creating a Peace Garden—a serene, natural space where students and staff can pause, reflect, and connect with God, one another, and creation. Designed with sensory elements that invite peace and wonder—the gentle sound of wind chimes, the beauty of flowers in bloom, the texture of stone and wood, and the warmth of sunlight—the garden will nurture mindfulness and well-being. It will serve as a place of prayer and meditation, offering quiet moments of gratitude, hope, and renewal throughout the day. Students will also be able to sit together, fostering friendship and belonging in a setting that reflects our commitment to faith, community, and care for creation. Our Peace Garden will be both a physical and spiritual sanctuary—growing peace from the ground up.
To help support this special project, we are thrilled to launch our Self-Portrait Tea Towel Fundraiser, This is a wonderful initiative that celebrates our entire school community while helping bring our Peace Garden to life. These tea towels will feature the hand-drawn “smiling faces” of our students and staff, creating a unique keepsake that captures this school year. They also make a thoughtful gift for family members and friends—just in time for Mother’s Day.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting our students and the life of our school community. As we journey through this joyful Easter season, may the message of Christ’s resurrection fill our hearts with peace, hope, and renewed purpose.
Wishing all our families the blessings of a joyful and hope-filled Easter season.
