March 2026

As we welcome the month of March, we are reminded that this is a season of both reflection and renewal. The days are growing longer, hints of spring are beginning to appear, and as a Catholic school community, we continue our journey through the sacred season of Lent.

Lent invites us to pause and prepare our hearts for Easter. It is a time of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving — an opportunity to grow closer to Christ and to one another. Throughout this season, our students are learning that small acts of kindness, quiet moments of prayer, and generous hearts can make a profound difference.

This month, we also celebrate our patron saint, St. Patrick. His courage, faith, and commitment to sharing the Good News remind us of our own call to be witnesses of Christ’s love in the world. As a school community, we give thanks for his example and strive to live out his spirit of faith and joyful service.

QR CODE Pasta DinnerOne of the ways we are putting our faith into action this Lent is through our Pasta Dinner Fundraiser in support of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul on Thursday, March 26. This meaningful initiative led by the Grade 7/8 class allows our students and families to practise almsgiving by supporting individuals and families in need within our wider community. We are grateful for the generosity that consistently defines our school family and look forward to gathering together for this special event. Call the school to purchase tickets or scan the QR code.

As we approach March Break, we pray that it will be a time of rest and rejuvenation. When we return, we will continue to focus on academic growth.  Students will be strengthening their skills in math and language, and across all areas of the curriculum, building confidence and perseverance as they prepare for ongoing learning and assessments, including EQAO. Our emphasis remains on growth and improvement while supporting students to think critically, communicate clearly, and apply their learning in essential ways.

May this month bring signs of hope, opportunities for kindness, and many blessings to all.

Wishing you a peaceful and grace-filled March.
