Principal’s Message

September 2020

Dear Students and Families of St. Patrick’s Catholic School,

Welcome to St. Pat’s!  We invite you to join us as we journey through this year “Nurturing Hope” in all that we do!

This year’s theme “Nurturing Hope” reminds us of the importance that Catholic schools have in modelling the transforming love of God.  On a daily basis we learn what it means to prepare, sow seeds, cultivate, harvest and marvel as we grow in our academics, faith and relationships with one another. At St. Patrick’s, we emphasize the virtues of caring, respect, responsibility, faith and family.  We are very proud of our efforts to promote peace, hope, love and kindness and we will continue to make this a priority at St. Pat’s!

As we continue to implement our strategic plan “Together on the Journey”, we will be highlighting ways to nurture hope as we Encounter, Accompany and Transform. We will encounter every student where they are at and accompany them on an educational journey throughout the year that will be like no other year in the past.  The changes and challenges we will meet together will undoubtedly transform us in ways we can’t even imagine. This is the blessing of nurturing hope as we journey together through the year 2020-2021.

Our school community is proud to continue the strong partnership among parish, parents and school that has been established for many years.  We are deeply grounded in our rich faith traditions of the Catholic Church and are a part of a larger learning community in the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board.  We are proud of our academic focus which connects our lessons, our religious study, and our community projects as we follow our school motto: “Hold High the Light of Christ”.

You will find information about Our School, Our Families, Faith and Learning, School News, School Bus Information and Calendar of Events to support your child’s learning on this website. As well, our weekly e-blasts (which will now be sent through School Messenger) and Twitter will provide a rich profile of the events and people that create St. Patrick’s school community.

We welcome your support and prayers. We look forward to serving this community for years to come!

God Bless.
